
Taxicard
Taxicard provides
refunds of half of the cost of taxi fares up to a maximum of £125 per
year (1 April to 31 March).

severe disability

higher rate of the mobility component of the Disabled Living
Allowance

On Attendance
Allowance if of retirement age

Who are registered
blind

Holders of National
Bus Passes

People with regular
and ready access

People able to use
ordinary buses
Application forms can be obtained from the Exeter Taxicard Office. Once
you have completed the application form post it to the address shown,
enclosing proof of eligibility. This could be:

A copy of page 1 of
your benefit book showing your name and address and a copy of page 3
showing your Disability Living Allowance Mobility Higher Rate or
Attendance Allowance

If the allowance is
paid directly into your bank account, a letter from Social Security
confirming that you are entitled to this benefit.

Registered Blind
Certificate
Taxi journeys that you claim for should begin and/or end in Exeter. You
may send in the claim form at any time, whether the form is full or not.
You will receive a refund of half of the taxi fare, up to the limit of
£125 per year. Within one week of our receipt of your claim (excepting
times of national holiday) we will process the claim and send you a
cheque.
