Shopmobility

Shopmobility provides manual and powered wheelchairs and scooters to help anyone who is having difficulty getting around the shops, attractions and businesses in the City Centre.

Shopmobility is for anyone, aged 3 to 103, no matter whether their mobility problem is temporary or permanent. The service is available to residents and visitors in Exeter.

Shopmobility is located in Paris Street, on the edge of the Princesshay development, with easy access to the bus station and the City Centre.

Free parking for Shopmobility Users is available on level three of the Princesshay Car Park, accessed from Paris Street (right after Exeter City Council's Civic Centre). Taxi services can drop you right outside the door. Our Ring&Ride bus stops outside our office and we can bring a scoter out to the bus for you, by arrangement. We can also bring a vehicle to Exeter Bus Station or Central Railway Station to meet you if you let us know your arrival time.

Booking by phone will ensure that a suitable vehicle is available, but we will always try to help if you just call in.

At the Shopmobility centre you will be met by a volunteer or member of staff who will complete a simple registration form with you. On your first visit please bring some identification.

A returnable deposit of £2.50 is payable for the loan of a wheelchair or scooter, however, as Exeter Shopmobility is part of a registered charity, donations are always welcome.
